Limited Edition & Made To Order...

Why Limited Edition...

From the very outset I knew that I wanted to create something that was special, personal and truly unique for each of my customers .  With literally thousands upon thousands of different mass produced clock designs available, it was obvious that offering the mechanical wall clocks as Limited Edition was essential in order to provide something special.

How Many Will Be In The Limited Edition...

Each of the mechanical wall clocks have two elements to the Limited Edition terms.

Element 1, Limited Edition Number

LEDA Clocks Limited Edition icon showing the total number of mechanical clocks that will be available worldwideThe first element, and most important, is the Limited Edition Number, which refers to the total number to be made over the life of the mechanical wall clock's production.  Once this number has been reached the clock as listed will no longer be produced, ever... meaning you have one of the Limited Edition Number worldwide.

This number may vary between the different clock designs, for example, the Oak And Walnut Concorde mechanical wall clock may be offered with a Limited Edition Number of 100, whereas the Walnut & Oak Tree of Life mechanical wall clock could be offered with a Limited Edition Number of 200.  This allows us the flexibility to apply different Limited Edition Numbers to different clocks.

The Limited Edition Number can be found on each individual product page and is shown as above in the Limited Edition Icon.

Element 2, Annual Production Number

The second element is the Annual Production Number.  This number refers to the number of mechanical wall clocks for each design to be produced each calendar year.  The purpose of having an Annual Production Number is to allow the Limited Edition Number to be spread over a long period of time, for example: if the Oak and Walnut Concorde clock had a Limited Edition Number of 100, and an Annual Production Number of 5, assuming all 5 clocks sell each year, the clock will be in production for 20 years.  Another reason for having an Annual Production Number is to allow time to develop new mechanical wall clocks in different themes, appealing to different people, this helps me maintain a good balance between building existing designs and creating new ones :-)

The Annual Production Number can be found on each individual product page and is shown as above in the Annual Production Number Icon.

How Is The Limited Edition Number Shown...

On the rear face of each Limited Edition mechanical wall clock will be a Limited Edition etching which defines the particular number of the edition that you have purchased.  Once you have commissioned the build of your clock I will be able to  provide details of which number you have purchased prior to delivery.

Made To Order...

All of my mechanical wall clocks are made to order, especially for you!  Once you have commissioned the build of your mechanical wall clock the build process will commence and comprise of the following 6 key stages, laser cutting, marquetry, sanding, finishing, assembly and test.  With at least 606 individual parts in each clock and a reasonable amount of time for testing in the studio, the whole process takes around 3 weeks to complete, but don’t worry you will receive regular updates on how your order is progressing.

Thank you for taking the time to read this Limited Edition & Made To Order page.  I hope you found it interesting and informative, however if you have any questions or comments about the page or any aspect of the site or clocks, please do not hesitate to contact me.

One more thing... it might worth taking a look at my FAQs page, a growing page of common questions that people ask when viewing my mechanical wall clocks.  Keep those questions coming... Thanks Darren
